Surprise donation finishes campaign to buy home for Halifax Family.The North Central Community Council Association, assembled in 2012 to turn the former St Patrick's Alexandra High School into a community space. Their vision for the site included plans for affordable housing and a community hub, with space for council meetings and recreational facilities.
After a hard fought battle, they lost the bid and disband the council. As their final act as a council a donation was made to A Home for Everyone in recognition of the outstanding lawyer that fought alongside them. Ron Pink shared the goal to return the pride of ownership, by demanding affordable housing. |
